In
1929 a group
of spiritually-thirsty believers gathered for bible
study on the beaches of Manhattan Beach,
California. Hearts and numbers grew, and while
names and places have changed since then, God
remains faithful to his people in the South Bay.
At Redeemer Presbyterian Church, our mission is to
worship the Triune God, proclaim the gospel, equip
believers, and reach the South Bay and the world
for Christ.
We hold the Scriptures of the Old and New
Testaments to be the inspired, inerrant, and
infallible Word of the Triune God. We ascribe to it
as the only rule of faith and practice for our
lives. As a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in
America {PCA},
we adopt the Westminster
Confession of Faith,
the Westminster
Larger Catechism, and
the Westminster
Shorter Catechism as our
secondary doctrinal standards.
Our goal as a local body of believers is to heed
the words of the Apostle Paul in II Corinthians
4:5, to “preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus as
Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus'
sake.”
